A Case of Compound Odontoma

Abstract

|
The author has observed a case of compound odontoma on the. incisal side of impacted upper left central incisor of a 12-year-old male. The patient was treated by complete enucleation of the tumor mass.
In reviewing this case, the author understood that early detection of odontoma by means of routine dental roentgenographic examination is of value in preventing of malocclusion. Actually this case was detected too late in view of preventive orthodontics, and so corrective orthodontic treatment should be followed.
